Claw Catcher at the Billericay Soapbox Derby 2026
On Sunday we had the pleasure of being part of one of Billericay's best loved community events. The Billericay Soapbox Derby 2026. As a local business, getting involved with events like this is something we care about and we're thrilled to say it was a brilliant day.
We Sponsored The Billericay School's Shark Attack Cart
This year, Claw Catcher was proud to sponsor The Billericay School's entry "Shark Attack" driven by James from the schools Facilities Team. You might have even spotted our logo on the cart as it flew down the road!
This Cart was designed and built by a team of Sixth Form students working alongside their teachers. From what we saw on race day, the efforts they put in was clear. The build quality, the team spirit and the sheer enthusiasm made Shark Attack one of the standout entries on the day.
The Results: Third Place (Twice!)

Two podium finishes is a brilliant result - especially for a team of students who designed and built the Cart themselves in the school's DT classrooms! A huge congratulations to everyone involved from The Billericay School. You should be incredibly proud!
